I’ve recently taken up snowboarding, with a pending holiday over Christmas in the French alps, I wanted to actually be able to safely stop and go when I wanted to. I’m insanely clumsy and I could just picture me flying off the mountain screaming “HELP!” somewhere.
Luckily for me, Andy has skied pretty much his whole life so he’s quite knowledgable when it come to what to take and what to expect. So he’s helped me put together some ski essentials, some of which are beauty related and I think you’re really going to want to get them for this season!
Firstly, front and centre, is my Roxy Biotherm neckwarmer. This came with my ski jacket, but Biotherm technology basically incorporates skincare into the fabric. Shea butter and sunflower oil rehydrate your skin and nourish it along with Vitamin E. It hugely helps to stop chapped skin when you’re on the slopes!
Next up is the Elemis SOS recovery cream. I am trained in Elemis facials and I LOVED their SOS cream. Put this baby on burns, blisters the like and it’ll work wonders. I’ve bought it ready to soothe my skin after a day on the slopes. This stuff is magic and cures skin problems so fast!
Next is an energy bar. If you’re like me and not that fit then you may need this! A bit of energy while you’re on the slopes never hurt anyone! Try look for slow releasing ones so you can have it as a morning snack and won’t pass out!
Safety whistle. When we got this in a goody bag I laughed, but it’s better to be safe than sorry! Not that we’re planning to get lost in the snow or in an avalanche but just in case!
SPF lip balm. The amount of times I’ve heard that your lips get hella sunburnt out there… I suffer with ridiculous chapped lips anyway so this is an absolute must in my bag!
What are your essentials?
